Administration Manager

NCAM is seeking a highly organised and proactive Administration Manager for an immediate start. The role supports the efficient running of the Academy's operations, working closely with the Musical Director and the Committee. This is a part-time position (approx. 3.5 hours per week), totalling 165 hours annually. The hourly workload varies throughout the year, with more than 3.5 hours per week required during peak periods, particularly before the academic year begins and at the end of each term.
Key Responsibilities: Administration:
Assist the Musical Director with class timetabling post-enrolment and pre-term.
Develop and maintain electronic systems for sharing information with the Musical Director and Ministry of Education.
Manage tutor payments, collate reports, and maintain records (e.g., instruments, stock).
Respond to inquiries from parents, organize lessons, and update NCAM policies.
Attend termly committee meetings.
Assist with funding applications and manage police vetting for tutors.
Finance:
Familiarity with MYOB Essentials for managing finances, invoicing, and budget preparation.
Support the Treasurer with monthly financial reports and tutor payments.
Reconcile bank accounts and liaise with the Waimakariri District Council regarding the lease where appropriate.
Schedule & Compensation:
Approx. 3.5 hours per week, 48 weeks per year.
Compensation: up to $5,000 per annum at $30/hour.
Minimum of at least 3-5 years of experience in financial management or a similar administrative role.
