About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented, innovative individual who excels in problem-solving and thrives in a fast-paced environment to join us in supporting our Undergraduate Medical Students as an administration coordinator. Your main responsibility is to provide accurate and efficient administration duties while providing professional support to both external and internal customers.
About the Team/Service/ Location Hawke's Bay's RMO unit employs Registered Medical Officers (RMOs). They are doctors in training who fulfil vital service delivery including provision of first medical response 24/7 in a range of specialties. In general, the RMO Unit provides administration-related functions such as recruitment, roster modelling, roster management, leave management as well as aspects of workforce planning, and providing support for individual RMOs.
About you You will need to be self-motivated, energetic and results-driven in this ever-changing environment. You will have a passion for making a difference, achieving results, and be hungry for a challenge. Naturally, you will be able to recognise the needs, aims, and aspirations of whanau from all culturally diverse groups within our community.
We are ideally looking for someone with experience in a busy administrative role; healthcare experience is an advantage. You must be able to deal sensitively and confidentially with all information and have a strong attention to detail.

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
2 years + experience in an administration roleStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsExperience in scheduling and arranging meetings, including preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action itemsHigh level of attention to detail and accuracy in your workAn ability to work autonomously but still love being part of a teamCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects/initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
