The role is based at a busy family owned scrap metal company based in Hornby. This role is an immediate start and ideal for someone who is efficient, organized and has previous admin/logistics experience. ABOUT THE ROLE Location: Hornby Hours: Monday-Friday 7:30am-5pm with the occasional Saturday morning every 3 weeks. Pay: $28 starting rate This is a temp-perm role with ongoing training, support and progression KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Reception and customer support - Attend to customers in a warm ad friendly manner - Assist with cash handling, payments, record keeping, eg customers, suppliers and product details - Operation of the weighbridge and identify product type and weight (full training provided) General administrative tasks: - Data entry - Processing monthly payable/receivable accounts - Assisting managers with general duties and day to day requirements - Stock control/inventory - General record keeping - Attending to supplier representatives/maintaining business relationshipsYou will also be involved with incoming and outgoing logistics.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Proven experience in administrative roles, preferably within industrial sectors. Proficiency in office software applications, including Microsoft Office suite. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
