You will be leading a team of four direct reports and have the opportunity to drive and embed process and system improvements.As part of the wider Finance team, you'll be responsible for keeping the business compliant with relevant legislation and regulators to drive best practice. You'll also be responsible for maintaining oversight of Council's debt and be a trusted expert on all matters relating to accounts and debt management.About YouYour experience as a leader will help shape the future of your team's work through process and system improvements. You'll bring experience with a sound understanding of all the complexities involved in end-to-end billing and credit control functions.You'll enjoy building positive relationships across the business and have strong analytical skills that will see you succeed at developing solutions to ensure great customer service.Minimum RequirementsProven experience in a leadership position managing people is essentialStrong reconciliation and analytical skillsExpertise in reporting and data analysisResilient nature and ability to manage and drive changeOutstanding stakeholder management and relationship building skills.Advantageous QualificationsExperience using the Tech One financial systemAwareness/understanding of Accounts Receivable functionLocal Government experienceWhat Next?Working for Hutt City Council, you'll be rewarded with a career that you enjoy and can take real pride in.
