With our head office based in Christchurch and depots in Cromwell and Tawa, we are responsible for constructing and maintaining distribution electricity reticulation, substations and protection across these locations. Providing such a critical service is no easy task and we know that to be the best, our people need to be connected, safe, and involved.Reporting to the Financial Accountant, the Accounts Payable role forms a key part of our Finance Team. This role is shared with one other Accounts Payable team member and core responsibility is to ensure the effective and efficient performance of the AP function. In turn, you will be supported by a friendly and supportive team.Responsibilities for this role include:Matching, verifying, coding and processing of invoicesReconciliation of Vendor Statements and resolving variancesPayment of VendorsProcessing credit notesCoordinating of invoices using robotic softwareAssisting as a backup to the other Accounts Payable team member as neededEnsure concerns are identified and investigated with appropriate action takenMaintenance of Vendor accountsReconciling the aged payables ledger to the general ledger on a monthly basisReporting on outstanding payments for monthly board reporting purposesMinimum Requirements:Previous experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar positionStrong numeracy and reconciliation skills, with attention to detailExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenKnowledge and experience using a similar finance ERP systemIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and OutlookA strong work ethic, motivation and professionalismBeneficial:Knowledge and experience using SAPExperience using UI Path (robotic software)At Connetics we understand that when your work environment fits your values and lifestyle, it's a better place to be.
