Here at Bayleys, we are passionate about growing alongside the communities we are a part of which includes our talented staff, working to achieve the best possible outcome and to be Altogether Better.The RoleBased at the Bayleys Head Office in the Wynyard Quarter of Auckland City, the Accounts Payable Administrator, as a part of the Finance Team, manages the day-to-day accounts payable processing. This includes working alongside various teams both within and outside of finance to ensure correct allocation of costs and that processes and procedures are followed.Skills and ExperienceAbility to build strong relationships with finance and operational teamsDrive and passion to continuously improve both yourself and your surroundingsFamiliarity with accounting concepts and ability to learn quickly with the right supportAbility to handle multiple companies with strong attention to detail and being results and time focusedExcellent interpersonal skills being able to effectively explain financial information to non-financial personnelResponsibilitiesManage the day-to-day processing of supplier invoices ensuring they're successfully captured in the systemEnsure that controls, processes, and procedures are being followed by the wider teamProcess month-end accounts payable close including assisting with accruals and reportsResolve supplier queries and operation queries in a concise and timely mannerReview expense claims, credit card spend, and place orders for data as when requiredProcess payment runs and supplying relevant information that allows managers to review the payment runsManage supplier master data ensuring that suppliers are captured correctly in the system ready for reviewSupport managers as and when required for payables related inquiriesWhat We Can Offer YouWe're looking for someone who's energetic and well-driven to do the best job they can with strong attention to detail and a willingness to continuously learn and develop. You will be a part of a dedicated Accounts Payable team who will help you ease into the role, ensuring that you have a strong understanding of the systems and processes in place, allowing you to become a source of payables knowledge. Additionally, the wider Finance team is on hand to help you develop your accounting knowledge which will enable you to understand the financial impact of payables, beyond the processing of it. This role is unique in that it encompasses many business lines of the Bayleys Group, has involvement in management reporting, payables processing, and analysis work and is hugely visible. It enables you to gain a wealth of experience at a large corporate, during which you will be working with very experienced and knowledgeable staff.
