About the Role The Accounts Payable / Accounts Receivable assistant will manage daily customer relationships regarding invoicing and receipting, control accounts receivable ledgers, process invoices for accounts payable, create payment batches, and serve as a backup for accounts payable when needed. This role is part of a Finance department that highly values teamwork. A key focus of this role will be to provide timely support to Practices and ProCare staff members, and to identify and implement improvements and efficiencies where possible. Minimum Requirements Degree in Accounting or relevant qualification preferred. Minimum of 1 years' work experience in a similar role, preferably within the health industry. Experience with raising invoices, processing payments and receipting of payments. Familiarity with accounting software systems, experience with Great Plains is preferred but not required. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Outlook. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Approval Plus are preferred but not essential. Detail oriented with strong time management skill and ability to meet deadlines. Problem solving and information management skills with a strong customer focus. A positive attitude and a desire to improve processes and results. Ability to work well within a team, but also to work autonomously with minimal supervision. A high level of personal integrity and professionalism. Excellent verbal and written communication with strong numeracy skills. A passion for improving equitable health outcomes for the population of Tamaki Makaurau and Aotearoa, New Zealand. Strong understanding and appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application to shaping our efforts.
