Accounts Officer

Details of the offer

We are looking for a diligent Accounts Officer who is eager for knowledge and carries great communication skills. As an Accounts Officer, your main focus will be managing the accounts payable processes and taking part in a further reconciliation project to assist the finance team through a backlog. You'll be self-motivated as you handle everything from preparing invoices and entering data to reconciling bank accounts. This role offers an experienced accounts payable professional the chance to gain valuable public sector experience in an exciting industry, working with a small team who are passionate about the work they do. Responsibilities: Managing invoice processing and customer receipts. Handling expense processing and grants payments. Maintaining accurate records of all transactions. Monitoring debtors and creditors. Preparing bank reconciliations. Conducting monthly reconciliations. Addressing queries from internal and external parties. Collaborating with other departments as needed. Required skills: Team player Patience Attention to detail Good time management skills Ability to prioritise Strong numeracy skills Previous experience: You will have at least 3 years of accounts payable experience Good knowledge of accounting software Business Central Knowledge of common finance and accounting concepts Note: We are not accepting applications from outside of New Zealand.
