This is a permanent opportunity based in Newmarket for a switched on Accounts Officer. We are a successful Recruitment company that has been around for over 30 years. Training will be provided and we are looking for someone that can start ASAP.
This role is full-time, Monday to Friday. This person will be an integral part of the team within the organisation. You will need to have excellent attention to detail when dealing with financial data and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
Some of your key areas of responsibility will include: Answering inquiries related to general accounting such as Accounts Payable/ReceivableUpdating CRM system by entering and adjusting timesheets, annual leave, sick leave, bereavement leave, on-call, overtime, stats and transferring them into the payroll system according to the current employment legislationEnsure deductions are correct and delivered on timeOnboarding new hires and resignations in the payroll systemEmailing payslips each week and answering payroll queriesLiase with relevant Coordinators to ensure that all invoicing information is correct in system and invoices are sent on timeSending client monthly statements and credit controlAssisting the Company Accountant or other team members with any other duties that may ariseTo be successful in this role: Qualifications would be a plus, but not essentialGood computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems and proceduresAdvanced numeracy, analytical capability and advanced in ExcelGood verbal and written communication skillsBeing able to multi-task/multi-track constantly with a strong sense of urgencyMust be intuitive and be able to prioritise queries based on the likely impact of the issue on the client/candidateIdeally have used MYOB and XeroAs this is a permanent role, those only with NZ Citizenship or permanent residency will be considered for this roleWhat's in it for you?
