About the roleReporting to the Finance Manager, we are looking for an experienced all-rounder to join our team as an Accounts Assistant. You will be responsible for managing our Accounts Payable process as well as providing support across other general finance functions. This role has lots of variety and would suit someone who is used to juggling tasks and getting results.You will be responsible for the following:Managing the Accounts Payable inboxReconciling local supplier accounts and resolving transaction queriesPreparing weekly and monthly payment runs including posting invoicesOverseeing workflow management and resolution of unposted transactionsSetting up of customer refunds and adhoc paymentsMonitoring, exporting & allocation Mastercard credit card costs via SmartdataAssisting with month end proceduresProvide backup for other areas of accounts and administration during periods of heavy workload and leaveDistributing and organising mailing / courier itemsOrganising stationery, supplies & services as requiredTo be successful in this role you will need:Proven NZ experience with Accounts Payable function in a mid to high volume environmentKnowledge of basic accounting principlesIntermediate Excel skills (which will help with reconciling accounts)High degree of attention to detailAbility to work independently and prioritise tasksWhat's on offerCompetitive remuneration6% short term incentiveSouthern Cross Medical InsuranceLife insurance & Free WillsAbout UsAsmuss, a dynamic, privately-owned NZ organization that has been at the heart of New Zealand's most significant industrial, construction, and infrastructure projects for over 100 years.
