Te Wero - The Challenge This position is for a permanent part-time (20 hours per week) Accounting Support Officer and will report to the Team Leader - Accounting Services. We are seeking a dedicated team player with excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic. Your role will involve assisting with the budgeting process for the Long-Term Plan and Annual Plan, managing end-of-year processes for the Annual Report, and providing financial advice, information, and reports. You will also engage in problem-solving across the organisation and support the wider Finance team with transactional tasks. Precision is key to success in this role! The ideal candidate will have: 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or financial environment. Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes. Understanding of end-of-year processes. Proven ability to resolve day-to-day financial information issues. Experience in service delivery reliant on information systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A solution-oriented approach to problem-solving. An eye for detail and an inquisitive mind. A natural ability to collaborate positively in a team setting. The ability to maintain focus under pressure.
