Business advisory role Direct client responsibilities City office location This locally based Christchurch chartered accounting practice has a good profile and has built its reputation by working closely with their clients, providing advice and assistance to grow and develop their businesses.
This approach sees them being quite innovative and very technologically driven, while working in partnership with the clients in understanding and supporting their business objectives.
This role will work directly with a Partner, so while it is a senior accounting role, it will have both client and staff responsibilities and the scope to develop as a Manager in the firm.
The predominantly commercial client base include some higher profile privately owned businesses and the range of work you will undertake includes not just the financial reporting & compliance, but also a focus on regular monthly accounting, business analysis and one off special projects.
As indicated this role then has the potential for future development, especially as the Partner continues to grow the client base, so if you want to grow your leadership skills then that opportunity exists.
We ideally see this role suiting an Accountant who has recently completed their CA qualifications, and having gained a base level of experience in a business services role is seeking that next step career opportunity, but in an environment where you will not be limited by traditional organisational structures.
We are then looking to identify ambitious and capable individuals who are proactive in developing their careers and who are seeking a role where they will move away from just the compliance based role to more of an advisory/special projects role.
The remuneration package being offered will be in the range of $90,000 - $110,000 depending on the successful candidate's level of experience, and our client is happy to assist in funding any bonding requirements you may still have with your existing employer for your CA qualification costs.
