Job Description:
The following are the main duties the Accounting Manager must perform at our schools. Other duties may be required from time to time, to achieve the effective running of the business.
• Responsible for accounts payable and receivable.• Be fully Xero conversant to entry data in Xero daily.• GST Report every two months.• Prepare and ensure the accuracy of important business reports, such as profit and loss statements for the directors.• Tracking payments to internal and external stakeholders.• Performing reconciliations of the other accounting accounts.Sorting out receipts, deposit books and transfers.• Processing and filing invoices accurately and within expected time periods.• Manage budget, cash flow and forecasting.• Verifying financial statements, ledgers and accounts and making corrections where appropriate.• Organise source documents, files and other account-affiliatedinformation.
• Find and address any accounting discrepancies.• Collaborate with external or internal auditors.• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct databasebackups when necessary.• Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.• Preparing statutory accounts.• Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.• Updating and maintaining procedural documentation.• Oversee Credit card expenses and their reconciliation.• Manage and oversee Public Trust transactions.• Assist Payroll.
Job pre-requisites:• Complete degree in accounting or finance.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, accurately tracking andrecording financial transactions.• Knowledge of finance, auditing work and bank bonds.• Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles,practices, standards, laws and regulations.
• Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and be fully conversant with Xero are essential.
