We are on the hunt for an Accounting Assistant based in our Highbrook office for a 9-month parental leave cover. This role forms an integral part of the wider Spicers finance team and we are looking for someone who can hit the ground running. This is a part time (circa 30 hours per week), Monday to Friday, office based role. And every day we go to extraordinary lengths to satisfy our hundreds of customers. The RoleDuties will include: Helping manage Accounts Receivable within the Spicers Group. Tasks include collection activities, receipting, ATB reporting, setup of new accounts, updating terms of trade, maintaining credit limits, no supply and enquiriesMaintaining Personal Property Securities Register (PPSR) detailsHelping to manage Accounts Payable. Tasks include setting up local and international payments, request FX contracts, statement reconciliation, issue remittance and queriesSetting up credit card paymentsProcessing staff reimbursementsDaily Reporting of Sales and Aged Stock for the Spicers GroupReporting, loading and setting up monthly payment for Group GSTBank Reconciliations Processing journals as directedReleasing Credit Hold OrdersInvolvement in month end/year end processing as required e.g. inclusive of review and analysis of stock, G/L reconciliationsAssisting with other finance related tasks as required Complying with and pro-actively work safely according to company SHE policies and relevant legislation; in particular trade practices, environment, health & safety, equal employment and harassmentAbout YouIn order to be successful for this position, we are looking for a motivated individual, someone who takes pride in what they do and has great attention to detail.
