Are you ready to advance your accounting and payroll career? We're seeking a skilled Accounting Assistant to join our dynamic team in a permanent, full-time role. This opportunity is based in East Tamaki, Auckland and offers a competitive annual salary between $63,000 to $66,000, with a fixed 40-hour work week from Monday to Friday.
What You Will Do: In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring our clients are billed accurately and on time, managing the payroll process, and supporting financial reporting. Your key responsibilities include: 
• Maintaining accurate billing and invoicing systems. 
• Generating invoices, account statements, and financial reports. 
• Managing payroll processes, timesheet accuracy, and PAYE remittances. 
• Reconciling bank accounts and generating payment batches. 
• Preparing monthly journals and maintaining the General Ledger. 
• Assisting with budgeting and year-end consolidated accounts.

About You: To be successful in this role, you'll need: 
• A tertiary degree in Accounting or Business. 
• At least 1 year of experience in an Accounts and Payroll role. 
• Strong knowledge of NZ employment law and legislation. 
• Proficiency with MS Excel and Datacom. 
• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
• A proactive, detail-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
