Depending on your skills, experience and qualifications, working with a range of clients, you may be is responsible for preparation of annual financial statements, tax returns and charity returns for clients. Senior Accountants in the firm oversee the Intermediate and Junior Teams, checking work and providing guidance, support, and training as required. They will also provide off-site training to clients and assist the Director as required.
Key responsibilities of the role include: Good working knowledge of Xero and XPMAccounting and client administrationPreparation of financial statements and tax returns for a variety of different entitiesCashflow and financial reportingPreparation of budgetsTraining, leadership and mentoring of colleagues/peersRisk managementProvide sound, practical business advice to clientsNetworking and stakeholder engagement Successful candidate requirements A Qualification in Business Management or Accounting at NZQA Level 7Chartered Accountant (CA) or working towards/Certificate of Public Practice5+ years practical experience in an accounting practiceExperience using MYOB Accountants office, Xero, IMS, Datamolino, Microsoft Word and OfficeAccounts payable and receivable experienceIRD and accounting legislative knowledge (expert level)Financial return preparation experienceStrong understanding of accounting systemsKnowledge of IRD and legislative requirementsCurrent IRD, accounting and legislation knowledge,Excellent analytical skills, able to quickly identify and fix discrepanciesPayroll knowledgeGST and FBT preparation experienceExcellent interpersonal skills, able to form and build client relationships and stakeholder relationships with ease.Able to work closely with a variety of clients, with experience across many industries Why this role?
