Some role responsibilities would include: Preparing financial statements for the clients' companies and assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports, and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, capital financing, and taxation Documents financial transactions by entering account information Recommending financial actions and providing financial advice to the management by analyzing accounting options Summarizing current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports Maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures Maintaining, developing and setting up new accounting systems Preparing GST, PAYE, INCOME TAX RETURN and other taxation jobs for the clients' company Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information Providing financial and taxation advice and answering accounting procedure questions Complying with New Zealand tax legislations and other applicable statutory requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions Providing accurate and reliable reports, providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements Preparing special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends Secures financial information by completing database backups Maintaining customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential Liaising with financial institutions to establish funds management arrangements Reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies Performing any other duties required by the employer Preferred Skills and Experience: Must have a relevant Bachelor's Degree or higher qualification, OR Have at least five years of relevant work experience Efficient and organised Able to work well under pressure Reliable and punctual Able to work well in a team If you think this role sounds like you, please use this platform to apply and submit your CV (PDF) and Cover Letter (PDF). #J-18808-Ljbffr
