We need talented individuals like you to make it happen.About the Role:Due to company growth, we are looking for a highly skilled part time Chartered Accountant to join our finance team. Working 16-20 hours per week, ideally Monday to Thursday, the successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer and play a crucial role in our financial management and reporting. Your responsibilities include:Financial Management: Manage day-to-day accounting functions, including overseeing two team members, and ensure all financial records are accurate. Financial Leadership: Guide our team with performance metrics, insights, and reporting. Help the team with budgets and targets, and continuously improve processes.Management and Coaching: Oversee and review the teams work and provide training, support and coaching.Financial Reporting: Assist with the month end process including review of the teams work and preparation of monthly management accounts. Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements for tax and reporting and internal policies. Review payroll and GST returns and assist with tax compliance. Audit Support: Assist with external audit by providing necessary documentation and addressing audit queries.Strategic Insights: Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.Cost Management: Monitor and analyse financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.As the successful candidate you will have:Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.Bachelor's degree in accounting.Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within the healthcare sector.Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory tax compliance.Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Why Join Us:Contribute to meaningful clinical research with real-world impact.Work in a collaborative and supportive environment.Access to professional development opportunities and career growth.Pacific Clinical Research Network New Zealand is an equal opportunity employer.
