As our Account Manager for the Upper North Island region (including Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and Northland), you'll be the driving force behind our sales and growth strategy in the region. You'll manage key accounts, foster relationships, and generate stellar margins, all while being part of a business that's changing the game in steel and aluminum. Main areas of responsibility will include:
Own regional KPIs—sales volumes, margins, pricing, and customer satisfaction. You'll be a sales legend, growing market share and making it rain healthy margins.
Build, nurture, and grow customer and supplier relationships that skyrocket value for everyone involved.
Stay ahead of the competition by spotting new business opportunities and feeding top-tier intel to the team.
Stay on top of sales forecasts, margin analysis, and sales strategies to fuel the business and regional growth.
Collaborate with our Specification team and help drive PCC's overall sales strategy, making Fletcher Steel the name everyone trusts.
About you:
5+ years of sales experience in manufacturing, construction, or a related field.
Experience in managing large, high-value accounts and navigating complex negotiations, as this role will be critical in looking after the most influential customer base by size, scale and governance.
Given the territory, you're able to travel 1-3 nights per week away from home.
Business-savvy with sharp financial and commercial acumen.
A people person with top-notch communication skills, who thrives in high-pressure environments and is always ready to tackle challenges.
A strategic thinker with the ability to ask the right questions, listen, and provide innovative solutions.
Knowledge of technical sales and the ability to interpret construction/building plans.
A natural relationship builder—your networking skills are legendary.
