Easysteel is on the hunt for a results-driven Account Manager / Business Development Manager to join our team in Penrose, Auckland, working across the wider Auckland region. Main responsibilities will see you: Managing a diverse customer portfolio, driving sales growth, and seizing every opportunity to maximise profitability.Building strong relationships and being the go-to person for your clients; understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions with the highest level of service.Providing valuable market, competitor, and customer insights to guide strategic decision-making within our team.Hitting the road to visit clients across the region, both new and existing, helping you stay connected and in tune with their needs, along with being comfortable helping around the sales office when needed.Collaborating with internal teams like the Area Manager, Sales, and Supply Chain, as well as build meaningful connections with external stakeholders—most importantly, your customers!What We're Looking For: A proven sales professional with previous experience in account management / business development and a strong understanding of sales principles.A steel background would be advantageous, FMCG (Grocery) is also a standout for us. But whatever your background in sales, attitude is of paramount importance to success in this role.You're business-minded, financially savvy, and always looking for opportunities to drive value.Your customer-centric nature, natural people skills and ability to solve problems make you a trusted partner for clients.Confident using tools like Excel, Word, and company-specific systems—plus, you're eager to learn more in a technical industry where your ability to pick up new product information is key.You thrive in a team environment, but also know how to take charge and lead your day-to-day.
