About the Role
We have a vacancy in our highly successful team of Account Managers here at Westcon, based in our Auckland office. A vacancy in the Account Management team does not come around often and this particular role looks after some of our most successful and larger customers.

We are after someone who can build relationships at all levels in our Reseller customers, someone who can build sales strategies with our customers to ensure we maximise our potential together. You would also get to represent some well-known and reputable Vendor brands in the market.
In the Westcon sales team we truly believe the sales principle that people buy from people, so we are looking for someone with that sales personality, that X factor. Of course, as a result of this, you will also have a successful track history in sales.
Key ResponsibilitiesNational account leadSet strategic direction for key accountsLead a virtual team to deliver strategy into the regionsIdentify and create opportunities through both vendors and internal BDM'sAchieve company-defined revenue and gross margin profit targetsAnalyse and monitor the performance of the customer base. Identify areas of opportunity and potential challengesSupport all vendor marketing initiatives by delivering them to the customer baseContribute to the achievement of market-share targets for all vendors within New Zealand.Identify and qualify new customers or market segmentsBecome a trusted partner by investing in relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externallyEnsure customers are kept up to date with relevant developments from all vendors and Westcon-ComstorProvide exceptional customer service and strive to exceed customer expectationsDevelop a thorough understanding of the Westcon-Comstor product line to be able to effectively support customersDevelop and execute customer account plans, pipeline management and sales forecastingStrong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectivelyStrong prospecting skills to identify new opportunities and solution sellingStrong business acumen - Understanding of and ability to apply pricing, gross profit, discounts, margin calculationsStrong presentation, negotiation & persuasion skills - Can influence opinionExperience5+ years' sale and account management experience, with proven successExperience in the technology sector (IT sales experience) and the industrySignificant contacts in the technology sector in the NZ marketPersonal AttributesHigh level of professionalismCan build trusted relationships quicklyCan confidently communicate with senior-level customersTeam player – co-operative approachCustomer service focused; sense of urgency and willingness to use initiativeCan operate under pressure and achieve objectivesDemonstrates excellent time management skillsJoin an employer of choice!
