About the Role We have a vacancy in our highly successful team of Account Managers here at Westcon, based in our Auckland office.
A vacancy in the Account Management team does not come around often and this particular role looks after some of our most successful and larger customers.

We are after someone who can build relationships at all levels in our Reseller customers, someone who can build sales strategies with our customers to ensure we maximise our potential together.
You would also get to represent some well-known and reputable Vendor brands in the market.
In the Westcon sales team we truly believe the sales principle that people buy from people, so we are looking for someone with that sales personality, that X factor.
Of course, as a result of this, you will also have a successful track history in sales.
Key Responsibilities National account lead Set strategic direction for key accounts Lead a virtual team to deliver strategy into the regions Identify and create opportunities through both vendors and internal BDM's Achieve company-defined revenue and gross margin profit targets Analyse and monitor the performance of the customer base.
Identify areas of opportunity and potential challenges Support all vendor marketing initiatives by delivering them to the customer base Contribute to the achievement of market-share targets for all vendors within New Zealand.
Identify and qualify new customers or market segments Become a trusted partner by investing in relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally Ensure customers are kept up to date with relevant developments from all vendors and Westcon-Comstor Provide exceptional customer service and strive to exceed customer expectations Develop a thorough understanding of the Westcon-Comstor product line to be able to effectively support customers Develop and execute customer account plans, pipeline management and sales forecasting Strong interpersonal skills; ability to build strong relationships quickly and effectively Strong prospecting skills to identify new opportunities and solution selling Strong business acumen - Understanding of and ability to apply pricing, gross profit, discounts, margin calculations Strong presentation, negotiation & persuasion skills - Can influence opinion Experience 5+ years' sale and account management experience, with proven success Experience in the technology sector (IT sales experience) and the industry Significant contacts in the technology sector in the NZ market Personal Attributes High level of professionalism Can build trusted relationships quickly Can confidently communicate with senior-level customers Team player – co-operative approach Customer service focused; sense of urgency and willingness to use initiative Can operate under pressure and achieve objectives Demonstrates excellent time management skills Join an employer of choice!
