'My client is a proudly privately owned business, part of a non-corporate and highly regarded co-op merchant chain. Well known for their family values, quality service and staff development, they are quick to respond to the market and have an excellent team culture.

On their behalf, I am seeking a talented Account Manager to work across both the commercial and residential building sectors. 

About the role:  Develop and maintain relationships with key customers in the commercial and residential building industry Maximise sales across the Auckland area and exceed KPI's - this role will require a proactive and strategic approach  Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales and market share Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to customer enquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner Become a product expert. Provide accurate and up-to-date information to customers  Monitor and analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities  Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the seamless execution of sales processes, order fulfilment and customer service  About you: You have proven significant experience in both existing account management and new business sales within the building materials or construction industry  Ideally, you will have an existing network of customers across the residential/commercial building sectors Excellent communication skills with proven persuasion and negotiation skills You are resilient, intelligent, and have strong analytical skills You are reliable, have a passion for sales, a strong work ethic, and a strategic growth mindset More than anything, you are driven, motivated and focused on big results!  Benefits:
