To lead, manage and be responsible for a media delivery team (Associate Account Managers, Account Managers, Senior Account Managers, Client/Project Leads) in the AUNZ region, from our Auckland Office.Responsibilities will include:Resource and Team Management of up to 8 ambitious and highly-trained account managers working across a variety of platformsGuide career development for team members including supporting on goal setting, regular feedback loops, and performance reviews.Building and maintaining a cohesive, motivating and inclusive team environment.Continuing to develop your already strong expertise in paid media as a topic. It's expected that this knowledge is used to develop clients' media maturity, train your team and share knowledge more broadly to level up the organization.Provide leadership and strategic oversight on priority accounts within your patch. This also includes establishing senior client relationships and being the path of escalation for all client matters.Supporting your team in paid media projects delivery and client servicing whether that be media management and/or consultative services whilst ensuring the highest possible standard of output.Collaborate with Marketing, Training, Engineering, Sales and Business Ops Teams on ad-hoc projects.Identifying business opportunities and partnerships, growing relationships in depth and breadth.Accountability of your team's adherence to Media.Monks administrative processes.Helping to strategize and improve our account management teams' processes and operations in collaboration with other Media Directors.Commercial and financial ownership of assigned account list. This includes, but not limited to, forecasting and accurate revenue reporting as well as client commercial growth.Communicate the Media.Monks Vision and philosophy effectively externally and internally, including participation in sales pitchesSystematically prioritize between client and internal needs, sometimes balancing competing priorities from different internal stakeholdersWhat you bring to it:5+ years experience in online advertising, whether at a publisher, agency, trading desk, technology companyPeople management experience is preferred.A deep and thorough understanding of paid media services and the wider industryTechnical expertise with the in-scope technology solutionsDemonstrated ability to lead in-person client meetingsDemonstrated ability to effectively operate independently and in a team environmentSkilled, process-based thinker that can help teams problem solve for technical escalationsExpert written and verbal communication for internal and external purposesAbility to give feedback on product demonstrations/alphas and betas from platform engineering teamsExperience in account management, including opportunity identificationCommitment to career mentorship, both at and beyond Media.MonksAbility to lead and work with many different personality typesKnowledge of advertising technologies (Ad Serving, Rich Media, RTB, Ad Exchanges, Search Engines, DSP's, SSP's and DMP's)Advanced DV360, CM, Amazon, GA360, Creative, and Search knowledge and ability to effectively
