We are seeking an experienced and dedicated A Grade Quarry Manager to join our team in Gore.
The successful candidate will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee operations in our alluvial and hard rock quarries and Mobile Crushing operations.
Manage a small team effectively.
Responsible for safely managing the extraction and production activities, restoration work, recruiting and training staff, and troubleshooting technical problems.
Caring for and maintaining the operation's key assets, including loaders, excavators, fixed and mobile processing plants.
Ensure compliance with consent conditions and maintain quality controls.
Monitor and enhance production processes to meet targets.
Build relationships with the team, customers, residents, and local contractors, as well as roading and civil engineering companies, and understand their business needs and ours.
Monitor and optimise the use of new equipment to achieve production targets and quality standards.
Input to budgets, manage resources, and schedules to meet operational goals.
Qualifications, Attitude and Skills: Character containing authenticity, integrity, honesty, and reliability; a proactive, can-do attitude.
Hold an A Grade CoC.
Attention to detail and effective communication with strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Class 4 with W, T, R. At least 2 years of experience within a similar environment.
Exceptional attitude, willing to help others and go the extra mile.
A keen eye for detail.
Take care and pride in your work and presentation of the workplace.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
Excellent relationship-building skills.
While certain skills are prerequisites, like having an A-Grade CoC, the successful applicant will have a champion attitude toward improvement and a collaborative working style to get it done.
