Palmerston North City Council is looking for an experienced 3 Waters Reticulation Delivery Officer – Maintenance to join our Infrastructure Group. This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in maintaining and delivering vital Three Waters infrastructure projects, ensuring the ongoing operation of our reticulation network and the delivery of the annual works program.
This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Your focus in this role will include:
Provide leadership and technical guidance to our in-house reticulation maintenance teams, operating and managing our 3 Waters reticulation network.
Lead Health and Safety practices on-site, ensuring team compliance with all safety protocols.
Manage critical network elements, including developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance schedules, resource planning, and budget adherence.
Ensure quality assurance and compliance with contract standards.
Assess skill level of teams and develop training and upskilling programmes.
About you | Ko Koe Tenei
You are an experienced leader in civil construction or network maintenance, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality infrastructure services. With at least 10 years of industry experience, you bring both technical expertise and excellent problem-solving abilities.
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and experience:
Diploma or equivalent in civil construction, drain laying, or network maintenance.
Minimum 10 years of experience leading maintenance teams in the civil construction industry.
Expertise in NZS3910:2013 and NZS3917:2013 contract conditions.
