Our team at Te Whatu Ora Tairawhiti are currently looking for a Youth focused Crisis Clinician. A specific focus of this role includes providing support and intervention to Tamariki and Rangatahi presenting with acute distress.

The remuneration range for this role is $77,087 - $107,600 and is covered by the collective agreement: PSA Allied MECA Allied, Public Health & Technical Position Description Crisis Worker.

Mou - About you
It is desirable the successful applicant will be a registered practitioner (nurse or social worker) with current practicing certificate and a minimum of two years' experience working with tamariki and rangatahi with mental health challenges.

Also needed:

a strong whanau centric focus

ability to build relationships and collaborate with whanau and community networks to offer a range of interventions as indicated by whanau.

Acknowledgment and an understanding of Te Ao Maori is also desirable as Tairawhiti has a strong iwi and cross sector leadership recognising Maori as tangata whenua, as a result Tairawhiti is a culturally significant and innovative region.
