So, get in touch now!Requirements:As a volunteer, you will:Have a passion to inspire girls and young women to reach their full potential and learn new skillsBe encouraging, assertive, and patientBe a hands-on leader and learnerMeet new people and become part of a worldwide networkDuring the school term, our GGNZ leaders:Attend a weekly session (in person) for up to two hoursHelp plan the term's activities and deliver them to the girlsComplete occasional evening/weekend training as requiredAttend occasional leader/planning meetings, and trips or campsNo experience is needed, but we need reliable volunteers, and previous experience working with youth is an advantage.GirlGuiding New Zealand's health and safety policy also has requirements around adult-to-child ratios, so we require that you are older than 18.A Police background check is required for this role.Time commitment:We are currently recruiting for two units which are:Te Kauwhata Pippins - Located in Te Kauwhata, meets on Thursday's 6 - 7pm during school term timeTe Kauwhata Brownies - Located in Te Kauwhata, meets on Thursday's 6 - 7.30pm during school term time*Te Kauwhata Guides - Located in Te Kauwhata, meets on Thursday's 6 - 7.30pm during school term timeAside from the weekly meetings, there are occasional events or camps held on weekends, and some planning time is required, so you can expect to volunteer between 2-4 hours per week.
