The housing has been built over two floors and has hostel-style rooms each with ensuite bathrooms.
There are common lounges, kitchens and a laundry as well as outdoor spaces and terraces for the young people.The housing will be available for young people aged 16-24 years (with a priority being given to the younger age group) with referrals coming primarily via the Ministry of Social Development.
Youth services will be based in the same complex and will include health and mental health services as well as educational and employment support.
The facility will be staffed 24/7.The housing team will provide a holistic package of support with an emphasis on supporting young people to engage in education or employment while living in the transitional housing and to support them into permanent housing.You will be an experienced leader ideally with experience of housing and working with rangatahi.
You will need to be able to supervise and manage staff, as well as providing practice leadership including the development of service delivery processes and quality assurance.You will need to be able to manage the rostering of staff to ensure 24/7 cover.
You will need to be flexible and able to work outside office hours when required.
