Te Puna Manawa Health WEST is a Maori Provider Partner committed to providing effective and efficient health services. We are passionate about improving health outcomes in the Waitemata and Auckland district by delivering free, accessible, innovative community and primary health services focusing on Maori, Pacific, tamariki, rangatahi, whanau, and other high-needs populations. Te Puna Manawa's Youth Health Hub is a free health service for young people aged 12 – 24 years living in West Auckland, North Shore, and Rodney.
He korero mo te turanga | The Role:
We seek a Registered Nurse passionate about improving outcomes for rangatahi to work across 2 youth services. You will be working within the youth clinic based in Henderson and seeing students onsite at their Alternative Education Centres. This position will provide nursing assessment, intervention, and follow-up to rangatahi. This permanent full-time role will be based in Henderson. Experience in youth health nursing and the ability to engage with young people is imperative.
He korero mou | About You:
Ideally, you will be a vibrant, energised registered nurse with a current practising certificate and a minimum of 5 years' experience in primary health. Experience working with rangatahi is an advantage. Success in this role requires an appreciation and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and a commitment to improving outcomes for young people and their families. Previous experience working with Maori & Pasifika youth and communities is an advantage. You will have excellent knowledge of Med Tech and MS Office suite as well as excellent written and communication skills.
