Our school is looking for an amazing educator who is passionate about education and driven to realise the potential of all learners. As an intermediate, we offer a model that sees our teachers receive up to 30 hours release a term. Syndicate teams are released together twice a week for 1.5 hours to collaborate, plan, access, and grow themselves professionally.
Key responsibilities:
Create engaging lessons: Develop and deliver creative, curriculum-aligned programs for Y7 and 8.
Integrate Te Ao Maori and sustainability: Incorporate these into your teaching.
Positive learning environment: Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration.
Build strong relationships: Foster connections with students, parents, and whanau.
Curriculum development: Contribute to the ongoing development of our localised curriculum.
We are looking for someone who:
Qualifications: Holds a NZ teaching qualification.
Experience: Has either experience or desire to work with intermediate age students.
Teaching skills: Demonstrates effective teaching methodologies.
Passion: Is passionate about fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving.
Collaboration: Enjoys working with colleagues and whanau.
Skills: Has excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
