Y5–6 Teacher

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2025, End Date: 27/01/2026 (Additional staffing 2025 - CRT and structured literacy support)
Position: Certificated Teacher for Primary and Intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi
Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Maori, The Arts
Due to increased staffing caused by CRT and structured literacy support, we are looking for an additional person to join our "crew" in Y5 and 6.
We are looking for someone who enjoys being creative, brings fun to the classroom, believes in children's potential, and thrives working with a team of like-minded colleagues.
We have a team culture that values inclusivity, open discussion, and decision-making. We value our teachers' autonomy to make decisions without needing to check in or get approval. However, our greatest strength is retaining great people by valuing and developing their professional autonomy and potential.
In 2025, we will use Prime Maths, Writer's Toolbox, and The Code as key support resources for our learning programmes.
