Our reo rua classrooms are designed to provide students with a rich and engaging learning experience, integrating te reo and Tikanga Maori into everyday activities.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Y1–2 teacher to join our reo rua classroom.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of culturally responsive practices, the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and whanau, and a genuine passion for and strengths in te reo Maori and Tikanga Maori.
You will: Develop and implement engaging, culturally responsive lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of Y1–2 students in a bilingual classroom.
Have strengths working with the New Zealand Curriculum .
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
Build strong, trusting relationships with students, their families, and the wider school community.
Integrate te reo Maori and Tikanga Maori into daily classroom activities and the wider school curriculum.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
Have a strong understanding and facilitation of culturally responsive practices.
