Flat Bush Primary School is seeking a passionate and dedicated Samoan bilingual teacher to join our Y1-2 teaching team. We are a dynamic and culturally rich U5 primary school in Otara, South Auckland, committed to providing high-quality bilingual education in Samoan and English.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver a strong bilingual programme that integrates the Samoan language, culture, and values alongside the New Zealand Curriculum .
Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes the well-being and success of all FBS learners.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and our wider school community to support achievement and bilingual education.
We are looking for:
A qualified and registered teacher (NZ registered) with a passion for bilingual education.
Fluent in both Gagana and English, with strong communication skills in both languages.
Someone who values cultural diversity and is committed to supporting the language development and cultural identity of our learners.
Experience teaching Y1-2 is preferred but not essential.
A team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to our wider school community.
