Workshop Technician

Inframax Construction is a local civil construction and road maintenance contractor based in Te Kuiti, working across Waitomo, Otorohanga and Ruapehu delivering high quality road construction projects and road maintenance contracts for our clients. An opportunity is available for a permanent full time qualified Diesel technician to join our team based at our Te Kuiti depot, providing efficient and effective repair and maintenance of machinery and other fleet vehicles while ensuring they are available on time to meet roster requirements. The right individual will possess: • A New Zealand certificate in heavy automotive engineering in either Plant and Equipment or Road Transport or hold an equivalent overseas qualification, or at least a minimum of 3 + years experience overseas in the industry • A Clean Current NZ drivers licence, Class 4-5 preferable, or working towards • WTR Endorsement is desirable but not necessary • Recent experience in the heavy transport industry is a plus • Be available to carry out call out work on a roster • Well organised with good time management • Clear communication style • Be a team player • Consideration will be given to qualified auto mechanics An attractive hourly rate with a minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime rate after 40 hours. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. As an AEWV, any applications requiring work visas will be required to wait for job check approval process which can be up to 3 months. Successful applicants will be required to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical and drug screen.
