The role is responsible for managing the allocation and completion of work within our Manufacturing workshop.This role would suit a contractorsor someone able to commit to fixed term employment.Duties include:Supervision and management of a small team of experienced workshop staffSetting productivity targets for the teamReview of job reports, progress claims and overall project progress with the support of the Department ManagerPerform weekly and daily toolbox meetings.Support PMO with client site visits/measurements/planning as required.Compliance with company QA procedures.Assist the PMO with job execution input for quoting and estimating purposes.Collaboration with other workshop supervisory staff to resource projects across the divisionAbout you:Good computer skills with intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.Experience in a supervisory role for a minimum of 3 years (supervising at least 6 employees)Experience with fabrication techniques, pressure vessels, welding codes and standards.Possess an in-depth knowledge of engineering practices.Good experience of the HSWACandidates MUST hold current NZ work rights and be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes drug testing.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?To help fast track investigation, please include here any other relevant details that prompted you to report this job ad as fraudulent / misleading / discriminatory.Researching careers?
