Explore more on Cubic.com.Job Details:Job Summary: Supervises and coordinates Repair Center Technicians through the evaluation and repair activities of equipment being returned from customers and field sites.
Monitors and reports department performance metrics and ensures alignment to Cubic's KPIs.
Routinely makes decisions pertaining to everyday operational processes and staff in the depot repair area.
This position typically works under general supervision and direction.
Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority pertaining to supervisory organisation and quality of Cubic products.Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:Analyses repair center workload requirements and proposes staffing modifications to upper management as necessaryAnalyses and prioritises repair center work flow to meet dynamic throughput requirementsSets and adjusts employee work hours, including approving leave requestsEnsures depot repair activities are performed in accordance with existing department processes, procedures and standardsEvaluates and monitors repair center staff performance, providing training and mentoring as appropriate.
Actions include informal and formal performance managementMonitors and reports repair activities to meet department performance goals and quality standardsProvides quarterly reports on workshop performance according to SLAsWorks closely with Cubic engineering groups to review and requisition tools, fixtures and test equipmentProvides logistics support between field sites, appropriate company departments, and the customer(s)Works with other departments including Procurement and Engineering to resolve material requirement or shortages issuesInterfaces with customers and other Cubic functional departments to perform/resolve product failure analysisDefines and leads repair center equipment monitoring efforts to ensure compliancy to Cubic's and equipment manufacturer's calibration, performance and quality standardsLeads, participates, and/or assists with repair center training eventsParticipates in various department audit eventsGeneral Duties and Responsibilities:Comply with Cubic's Quality Management SystemComply with Cubic Occupational Health, Safety and Environment policies and proceduresComply with security in accordance with established policies and procedures of the organisationsComply with Cubic Human Resources ProceduresOther duties as requestedMinimum Job Requirements:QualificationsQualifications in conducting maintenance planning activitiesHolder of a Construction White Card (desirable)Relevant tertiary qualifications to the roleSkills/Experience/KnowledgeMinimum 5 years experience in a high tempo workshop environmentPrevious supervisory experienceMust have an understanding of troubleshooting and root cause analysis methodologies with familiarity of electromechanical principles/components and electrical inspection equipment, as well as communications equipmentAbility to motivate and upskill others in knowledge of practices and systemsPersonal QualitiesAbility to lead a high performing team, ensuring work is well planned and organised to meet assigned KPIsAbility to travel as requiredExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh levels of customer support and service deliveryAbility to work in a high volume environment whilst maintaining delivery and a high standard of serviceCondition of Employment:Successful outcome of a National Police CheckThe description provided above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties, responsibilities and requirements.
