About the role: We are looking for a Workshop Supervisor (experienced and/or fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic) to join our existing team here in Christchurch.
Supporting our Workshop Manager, day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing the workshop operations (with a hands-on approach), supporting, & mentoring apprentices and training team members, liaising with the wider Isaac Group throughout the South Island & ensuring programmed maintenance and repairs are scheduled while providing flexibility for urgent repairs.
The position will suit an experienced leader who wants to be part of a tight-knit team, and has a proven track record in Mechanical services from within Civil engineering or similar.
Responsibilities will include: Servicing, maintaining & fault-finding various vehicles & machinery Day-to-day supervision of Mechanical Team Coaching & mentoring of team members Key Skills & Experience: Mechanical field Trade qualifications would be a definite advantage.
3 - 5 years' experience in the Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related Industry.
Experience leading/supervising a team.
Good commercial knowledge and experience.
An ability to work in a collaborative, ambitious, motivated, and honest style.
Able to work as part of a wider team, with strong communication skills to deliver company goals and maintain a really strong team culture.
Being a leader in safe working practices is mandatory.
A clean licence with a minimum of class 2 & WTR is an advantage.
