About the location Gisborne is a city on the east coast of New Zealand's North Island.
It's known for wineries and surf beaches such as Makorori.
About the successful applicant The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing estimates for insurance companies and private customers, organizing workflow, conducting quality controls on vehicles, and providing excellent customer service.
The Workshop Manager will play a crucial role working closely with the owner in maintaining a positive and efficient work environment while constantly seeking opportunities for process improvement.
Duties within the role Write estimates for insurance companies and private customers Organize workflow and maintain a productive team environment Liase with customers, workshop staff and suppliers Conduct quality controls on vehicles before customer collection Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional attitude Order replacement parts and inspect them upon receipt Strive for continuous improvement in processes and skills Maintain a sense of humor and positive attitude Qualifications, experience and qualities required for the role A minimum of 5 years experience in the collision industry, with specific experience in New Zealand Proven ability to manage workflow and team dynamics The ability to work well in a team and having the ability to motivate and drive the team Experience with I-Bodyshop and prior management experience highly advantageous Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with clients Experience in ordering replacement parts and conducting quality controls Experience with commercial vehicles such as diggers, agricultural equipment is not necessary but would be a bonus Desire to constantly improve processes and skills How to apply This vacancy is only open to New Zealand citizens and residents and those already in NZ with Work Visas that can be transferred to a new employer.
