Workshop Manager

We are looking for one full-time Workshop Manager to join the team. Ideal candidate must have the following: Relevant qualification in Level 4 or above of customer service, or management, or otherwise, at least 3 years relevant experience in customer service or management. Be physically fit enough to work under pressure in the workshop. Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime. Must be flexible to work like late-night and early-morning shifts. Strong commitment to safe work practices. Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally. Working hard, healthy, sound time management and punctuality. Long-term and full commitments are required. Complying with health and safety regulations. Be able to pass a police check.     Job Responsibilities:  Manage Daily Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the workshop, including scheduling staff, assigning tasks, monitoring staff performance, receiving customer orders, ensuring smooth service delivery, and maintaining workshop records. Customer Service: Communicate with customers, address inquiries and complaints, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. Supervise Staff: Train, supervise, and manage staff to ensure quality service and adherence to workshop procedures. Manage staff shifts and assign daily tasks based on workload. Maintain Equipment and Supplies: Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and manage the procurement of workshop materials, supplies, and stock. Monitor Financial Transactions: Handle daily cash and card payments, track sales, and manage basic financial records. Prepare Quotes and Contracts: Prepare accurate service quotes and draft, review, and manage contracts with customers. Marketing and Advertising: Promote the workshop by implementing marketing strategies, advertising services. Ensure Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment, adhering to safety standards and regulations.   In return, we will offer: A stable position in Christchurch, New Zealand.
