Description


The Higgins Green Team in Tamaki Makaurau have an awesome opportunity for an experienced Workshop Manager to lead the team at our East Tamaki workshop. You will be a proven leader with experience managing a team that specialise in the maintenance and repair of heavy plant, equipment and trucks.
You will be leading a team of approx. 9 staff and will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the workshop including pricing, procurement, maintaining supplier relationships, workload management and forecasting.

What you'll bring to the role:

Ideally you will have a minimum of 10 years experience as a Workshop Manager or Foreperson in the civil roading industry
Proven experience in repair and maintenance of heavy vehicles and equipment
Qualified Diesel mechanic with hands on experience
Ability to plan, prioritise and schedule work including coordinating any plant breakdown/issues that may arise on site
Proven experience leading a team of apprentices and mechanics
Ability to build robust and effective relationships with key stakeholders including Higgins external suppliers
Excellent communication skills – you will be the go-to person for all workshop related queries both internally and externally
