This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it…Te whiwhinga mahi | The OpportunityThe Workforce Delivery Lead is responsible for the development and delivery of the work programme(s) delegated to the role from the current Aotearoa Health Workforce Plan (Plan). The focus is on delivering the current Plan and informing and developing future Key Initiatives. The Workforce Delivery Lead uses their sectoral knowledge, local relationships (internal and external) and insights to:lead engagement with all local health related organisations (including IMPBs), to develop guidance, advice, and recommendations that enable the sustainable growth and development of the future Aotearoa health workforcework closely with local senior clinical leaders, sector (health, and education) experts and local representatives of government agencies, to ensure there is clear and measurable delivery of the Plan. Where feasible, doing more than the Plan is encouragedplan, implement and execute the local initiatives that deliver on the Te Whatu Ora future workforce goals (SMART goals)develop executive level proposals that are focussed on tactical workforce changes (SMART goals); andimplement monitoring, quality improvement and reporting activities for the local programme and ensure that initiatives are implemented within agreed timeframes.Minimum Requirements:Demonstrated prior experience in successfully managing initiatives from conception through to execution that involves change initiatives and/or service improvement programmes (in the range of 5 years). Supported by a knowledge of the New Zealand Health sector and/or relevant technical fieldExperience in building effective relationships with all levels of the organisation and stakeholdersExperience in Project Management and DeliveryIs well connected to local communities and able to build effective relationships with all levels of the organisation and with stakeholders and of Matauranga Maori; an ability to walk in both worlds is ideal, or on an evidencable path to gaining this knowledge and capability. An ability to speak Te Reo, or has a desire to learn the language, is desirable.A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
