Work, Health, Safety and Environment AdvisorSkip to contentOpportunity in leading manufacturing environmentPermanent roleChristchurch locationThe WHSE Advisor is responsible to drive compliance and will lead the "safety first" culture on site, manage risk and educate.Reporting to the National People & Safety Manager, this will suit a person who is a senior coordinator ready for the next step and can grow with the role or an experienced Advisor.
Experience in a manufacturing environment is required.Key Responsibilities:Work closely with the National People & Safety Manager to develop strategic plans and actions.Improvement plans targeting best practice.Work collaboratively with the Site Team Managers, Leaders and workers to implement and maintain safety procedures.Provide advice to Site Management.Setting up consultative mechanisms to identify and manage hazards and risks.Ensure inductions and training are implemented.Conduct regular audits and inspections.End-to-end management of incident reporting and investigations.Lead toolbox talks.Coordinate injury management and return to work program.Liaise with ACC on claims.Experience and Skills Required:Relevant Diploma/Tertiary qualification.Competent level of WHSE knowledge.Minimum 3-5 years in a WHSE position.Experience implementing and managing a WHSE system.Experience with ACC and return to work processes.Strong planning, organisational and communication skills.Strong risk management skills.This opportunity is 100% working on site and works mostly on the production floor.
