Tradestaff are seeking an experienced WOF Certified Diesel Mechanic to join us for a September start! Requirements: WOF Certification: Essential for performing Warrant of Fitness inspections. Experience: Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, specifically working on diesel engines and trucks. Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines. Knowledge: Strong understanding of diesel engine systems and related components. Tools: Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment for diesel engines. Licensing: Full New Zealand driver's licence. Attention to Detail: Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and team members. Work Ethic: Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities: Engine Diagnostics: Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues with diesel engines in trucks. Repairs & Maintenance: Performing repairs and routine maintenance on diesel engines and related components. Customer Service: Communicating effectively with customers to explain issues, repair options, and provide recommendations. Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and parts used. Compliance: Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with legal and safety standards. Upkeep: Keeping the workshop clean and organised, and ensuring tools and equipment are in good working order.
