WINE JOURNALIST & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER REQUIRED Journalism & Writing (Advertising, Arts & Media) WINE JOURNALIST & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER REQUIRED FOR BUSY RESTAURANT & WINERY ON WAIHEKE ISLAND, AUCKLAND, NEW ZEALAND. PERMANENT CONTRACT, FULL TIME (30+ HOURS PER WEEK) Casita Miro is a Spanish inspired restaurant situated amongst the vines of Miro Vineyard in the Onetangi Valley on Waiheke Island. Waiheke Island is situated in the Hauraki Gulf - just 35 minutes by passenger ferry from Auckland. We are after a Wine Journalist & Social Media Manager to join our happy management team. Your duties will include but are not limited to the following: Design and compose the written material for Casita Miro goods and services together with Miro Vineyard new wine release press releases. Oversee the implementation and roll out of the Casita Miro Social Media strategy. Oversee the ongoing implementation of the Casita Miro blog and vlog, including the creation and the required editing of audio and visual content. Design and compose the written material for the monthly Casita Miro Newsletter. This includes collecting and analysing newsworthy events from interviews, printed matter, investigations and observations. Implementing the production of the Casita Miro Newsletter Fosters and maintains excellent relationships with Spanish suppliers and clients through superior customer service Are you or do you have the following knowledge, skills and character? Knowledge of the Spanish language, wines and food trends Be located on or be willing to relocate to Waiheke Island. Well organised, well presented, reliable and trustworthy Comfortable with multi-tasking Professional, polite and friendly at all times Self-motivated Eager to learn and develop new skills. Strong leadership attitude Remuneration and experience required: NZD$30.00 per hour (30 hours minimum per week). Tertiary Degree in journalism or something similar Minimum three years' experience in Social Media Minimum three years' experience in video, and audio content creation and execution.
