We are on the lookout for an experienced technician who will be based in Christchurch. This hands-on role will mainly be responsible for diagnosing technical issues, and servicing/maintenance on a wide range of appliances (whiteware). In-house and in the field.
This is a permanent full-time role—40 hours per week (part time considered).

About You: To be successful in this role you will need:
Strong time and task management skills
Excellent mechanical and electronic aptitude
EAS or EST qualification and/or relevant qualifications in Electrical and Appliance Repair (Whiteware)
Proven experience as a repair/service technician or similar role
Skills, Qualifications & Experience Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
Strong knowledge of various domestic appliance types
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication skills (Professional Working Proficiency)
Key Responsibilities Troubleshooting, diagnosing and technical repairs and maintenance of domestic appliances, whiteware and/or air conditioners.
Ensuring that all data entry requirements are completed and maintaining accurate service records.
Communicating confidently with customers while representing Trade Depot in a professional manner including telephone diagnosis & troubleshooting.
Contribute actively to site toolbox meetings and general health and safety meetings.
