Te Hononga O Tamaki Me Hoturoa (Te Hononga) is a kaupapa Maori organization that provides Maori-centred health and well-being services and connects whanau with their communities.We are looking for passionate and skilled individuals to join our dynamic team in South Auckland. We seek Whanau Ora Support Workers who are dedicated to working with our whanau in the community. Your role will contribute to their well-being and make a meaningful difference in their lives.Role:1x Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) position to work with our Whanau Ora Support Services1x Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) position to work with our Toi Tu (Kids/Child Health) servicesThe Whanau Ora Support Worker will assist our whanau through a Whanau Ora framework, empowering them to address their health and social needs while accessing local services.The position is full-time, requiring 40 hours per week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. It demands excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to assist individuals in challenging situations. A strong knowledge of the local community and the ability to build partnerships with local service providers is essential. While qualifications in this sector are desirable, they are not mandatory.What we need:Medtech 32/Evolution experience or knowledge. (The ideal candidate will receive training.)Desire to collaborate with whanau in the community, driven and organized, with great administrative abilities, computer literacy, and outstanding communication skills (written and oral).Demonstrates Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles when working with Maori and high-needs whanau, including understanding Te Reo Maori and Tikanga.Committed to giving our whanau in the community the best possible start in life.A valid New Zealand full driver's license.The Children's Act 2014 requires a safety check for this role.
