Darfield High School – Darfield, South Island
Te Kura Tuarua o Tawera | Darfield High School has an opportunity for a talented teacher. We are seeking a trained teacher for a Y7 or 8 class. The successful candidate will work in a year-level team of five teachers, supported by a wider school team, teaching up to 20 contact hours per week in their own classroom.
A middle leadership role within the pastoral system of the school may be available for a candidate with suitable experience.
As a semi-rural school close to Christchurch, at the heart of our community, our development programme is based on a strong vision. We're in the early stages of PB4L and restorative practices, curriculum reform, and cultural capability development. We have 800 students, Y7–13, most of whom are very well supported from home and well connected to their school, some of whom need us to adapt our practice to meet their needs.
