We have an exciting and rare opportunity for an experienced Production and Logistics Manager to join our tightly knit team.
This is a senior role based in Mosgiel, and reporting to the CEO.
You will be an integral part of the senior leadership group.
Job Description The Production and Logistics Manager leads the team who are responsible for managing harvesting and roading, distribution and scheduling, and port operations.
This includes providing oversight and leadership of all log production activities, including responsibility for the physical and financial performance of all logging, cartage, roading, marshalling and stevedoring activities.
At this senior level, there is the overall responsibility for reporting to management, Board and stakeholders as required, as well as a detailed understanding of H&S and environmental, compliance requirements and other regulations.
Desired Skills and Experience To be part of our team, you will need proven experience in forestry production or logistics, ideally with management-level experience in a senior role.
Your experience should be diverse, including: A tertiary qualification in Forest Engineering or Forestry Science.
Five or more years' experience in a forestry role, managing at least one key aspect of production or logistics.
An interest and strong ability to innovate with new technology.
Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
Good communication and written skills.
