E Ara E is an innovative vocational support service for rangatahi aged 18-24 years, living in the Auckland region.
Delivered in partnership with the Ministry of Social Development, the service is based on the internationally recognised and evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model and focuses on supporting rangatahi living with mild to moderate mental health challenges to overcome barriers to employment or training.
We are looking for a capable mental health professional to fill our vacant Wellbeing Practitioner role.
You will be joining our team of clinical, employment and peer specialists based in New Lynn.
You will be working in partnership with rangatahi, to support them to manage their wellbeing while on their chosen work or study pathways.
Our ideal candidate will have: The ability to engage and motivate rangatihi and build relationships with a range of stakeholdersRelevant work experience in the mental health, addictions or social services sectors, including experience supporting rangatahi to achieve their potentialA sound knowledge of mental health issues and ability to identify cognitive and behaviour patternsA relevant tertiary qualification e.g., in psychology, counselling, social work and registration with a relevant professional body e.g., HPCA, Social Work, DAPAANZ, or a commitment to gaining registrationKnowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and how to apply to your own professional practiceA full, current New Zealand Driver's LicenceIn return, we offer: An opportunity to be part of growing an exciting service supporting rangatahiA salary between $67,225 – $77,272 (depending on registration and experience)22 days annual leave5 days paid study leave per annumA supportive organization, with a strong commitment to ongoing professional development.More about us: Odyssey has supported thousands of New Zealanders whose lives are affected by alcohol, drug or other addiction challenges.
